Commissions - landscapes in glass
Commissions generally come in three sizes, small, medium and large, but no larger than 40 x 40 cm unless several are joined together to form a larger piece such as a triptych.
Fused glass on a large scale as a single piece can be heavy. Framed or wall mounted pieces are more suitable as a smaller/lighter piece, i.e. - 40 x 40 cm. (see how to display your art work).
Prices range from £150 to £450 depending on size. Something more complicated using several elements can be discussed.
All landscapes/paintings are made entirely from glass, which include a wide variety of colours and types, including reactive glass which will react with copper baring glass and metal inclusions. Several 12hour firings are required in order to perfect the outcome. Detail is applied with crushed glass and glass enamels (which is constructed from glass - glass 'paints' are not used). Kiln firing schedules are altered accordingly depending on the desired effect.
